MERGE is for the real creatives. The ones that know success is about tenacity, passion, and a truely artistic mind.

A platform for kiwi creatives to get rid of the formalities of interviews and networking events to get to the core of why we are doing all of this; collaboration, connection and creativity.

Often the way creatives are informed about particular opportunities is, not through what you know, but who you know. Large numbers of jobs in the creative industry aren’t publicly posted at all - a 2016 study claiming that 85% of all jobs are filled through networking.

Thus our opportunity was to: Connect creatives across New Zealand to foster a more human, casual approach to networking within the creative industry.

“MERGE exists to answer New Zealand creatives need for a networking site that isn’t corporate, competitive or contrived.

We’ve partnered with Design Institute of New Zealand to take all the best bits of LinkedIn, Tinder, Behance and Pinterest, to create a place where personality, interest, drive and guts, are at the forefront of your CV.

Creativity cannot be contained in just what you have done or who you currently know but rather - what you know you can do when given the chance to show who you are in a casual, localised, intention driven environment. MERGE gives you the opportunity to talk - rather than solely existing as a list of work experience and a degree.”
